Profesyonel sanat hayatına Mangaka (Japonca: çizgi roman çizeri) olarak başlayan Bekir Sert, olay anlatımından çok, tek bir sekansın estetiğine doğru çekilince, kompozisyonlarını tuvale taşıdı. Oxford Üniversitesi’ndeki dil bilimi çalışmalarında yapmış olduğu gibi, olay ve olguların algoritmalarını resmeden Bekir Sert, New York, Capri, Paris ve İstanbul’da karma ve kişisel sergilerde yer almıştır.

 

Bekir Sert initiated his art career as a Mangaka. After his art practice was drawn towards the aesthetics of a single sequence rather than the narration of the event, he carried his compositions to the canvas. Painting the algorithms of events and phenomena, just like in linguistics studies at Oxford University, Sert has participated in both mixed and solo exhibitions in Istanbul, New York and Paris.
